Level 3 Close Protection

The SIA Close Protection Officer Training Course opens up highly paying opportunities to work as Bodyguards. Earn up to £400 per day protecting celebrities, VIPs or high net worth individuals.

The Close Protection Training Course is for anyone who wants to work legally as a Close Protection Officer (CPO), commonly called Bodyguard.

These individuals are trained to provide personal protection to clients, such as VIPs, celebrities, and high-net-worth individuals, from potential threats and hazards.

The qualification covers a range of topics, including

• threat assessment
• surveillance detection
• defensive driving
• physical intervention techniques
• firearms
• and emergency first aid.

To be eligible for the qualification, individuals must have prior military, law enforcement, or relevant security experience.

Successful completion of the course will equip individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to work as a close protection officer in a variety of settings.

The Close Protection Training runs over 19-days and covers the knowledge, skills and practical’s to help you prepare for the exam.

Unit 1: Working in the Private Security Industry
Unit 2: Working as a Close Protection Operative
Unit 3: Conflict Management

Courses are packed with theoretical and practical activities to keep you engaged. The training is intense, and some exercises will finish late. Candidates should be prepared for a demanding period of instruction. The course covers the following:

NOTE: To apply for this licence, you will also need a First Aid at Work Qualification.
